Seasoned Heroes

You have spent time wandering the world, taking part in epic battles for freedom and defending the weak. As a reward, kings and peasants have offered you a place at their tables, and majestic, legendary creatures have given you a taste of potions made from the rarest ingredients. A hero of shield and sword, you also became a master of spices and condiments.

Today, years later, those adventures belong to the past, and you live in the back room of a small tavern. The owner has no idea how to run a good kitchen, and you always have to fix his bland dishes to keep the tavern from closing. However, he has no idea that you do this, or even that you live there. Indeed, you are a tiny creature, probably too small to be noticed anyway.

Seasoned Heroes is a tactical TTRPG for 1-4 players created for the 1100 Words TTRPG Kitchen jam. It has 1083 words (with the exception of the Legal Section) and aimed to use all four "ingretients" (themes) of the jam: spices, magic, rebirth, trials.
